All seem to be good that go the the iconic locations for divers. Recently Mike Ball had some divers float off into the never never and had to launch full scale search and rescue for the errant divers. They were found and decided to continue on with their trip after hours lost at sea so a better vote of confidence you could not find!

Post this question on either (or both) the cairns and Great Barrier Reef forums, as this operator does not go from Port Douglas.

there are no overnight trips from port Douglas now, all depart from Cairns.

If you will be staying in Cairns, great. However if you want to go to the reef from port Douglas there are many great local day trips (travel time from PD is only 1.5 hours to the outer reef- this is the closest jump off point to the outer reef). You may want to consider whether its worth joing an over night tour, or whether you might prefer 1,2 pr 3 day trips instead. On the day trips you have the opportunity to do 3 seperate dives at 3 sites during the day.

Anyway, just a suggestion...
