Travelling with a baby...

We are hoping to book for a week in July to Port Douglas. Our baby girl will be 4 months old and I am wondering about Mosquitos at this time of year and if it is a suitable place to holiday with a small child. We are looking at staying at Peppers, would this also be suitable accom?

Thankyou for any advice.

There are always mozzies in far North Queensland but July is the dry season so there aren't quite as many.

Stay in a places with screens. Keep bubs indoors or covered up at dusk. Tee tree oil is a good natural product to use if bites appear. I wouldn't put repellent on baby's skin but you could give the pram and a light muslin sun shade a bit of a spray to keep them away. Don't let it spoil your holiday. Thousands if kids grow up in Queensland every year without problems.
