Great Barrier Reef Tours

I have searched and read reviews endlessly but I am very torn between picking a Great Barrier Reef Tour Company. I am debating between Quicksilver, Sea Star Cruises and Wavelength. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one is better? Thank you :)

All of these boats get excellent reviews here on TA, so your choice will depend on what kind of experience you are looking for. All of these boats are good for first-times snorkelers, but some are better than others for people that are uncomfortable in the water, particularly deep water.

Quicksilver (out of Port Douglas) carries hundreds of passengers to a fixed pontoon. They offer activities for divers, snorkelers and people who don't want to get in the water (underwater observation, glass bottom boat, etc).

Sea Star (out of Cairns) carries a maximum of 35 passengers and goes to two places for diving and snorkeling, one of which is a small island which would be good for those uncomfortable with deep water snorkeling. They also offer glass bottom boat rides.

Wavelength (out of Port Douglas) is a snorkel-only boat that goes to three deep-water locations on the Outer Reef. It carries a maximum of 30 passengers and there are no non-swimming activities such as a glass bottom boat ride.

I have snorkeled with many different companies, but I've snorkeled 5 times with Wavelength, so I clearly find them the best choice for me.

I would recommend you to check out Lost In Australia. They have got wide range of options for you to choose from, whether you want a short tour of Great Barrier Reef or you are up for snorkeling and diving adventure. You can visit their website here, https://lostinaustralia.org/east-coast-tours
