Pepper's Palm Bay. The Resort, Weather and Stingers

Hi,

First trip to Australia and after Sydney, we are flying to the whitsunday area of the Great barrier reef staying at Pepper's Palm Bay that was highly recommended. Has anyone stayed in this resort and/or region during the second half of May? Would love to lear opinions on the resort but most, will we be able to swim and snorkel. We come from New England so if the water is at least in the 70's...that is fine for us. Would it be much warmer up the coast around Cairns and is the dangerous Jellyfish season over?

Have I bothered you with enough questions ??? :)

Cheers
