Assuming you're flying - yes, perfectly safe.

The Whitsundays have not been affected by the QLD floods, in fact, they have had nice sunny weather whilst the rest of the state has had terrible weather.

We can confirm, the Whitsundays is fine and beautiful and not flooded. We are approximately 600km from the nearest recent floods, and are well and truly unaffected.
