best accommodation for solo traveller?

I have 4 days spare and want to see Whitehaven beach and GBR. So looking to fly into Hamilton island.

I will be on my own with a fairly flexible budget.

Anyone got any previous experience travelling solo on Hamilton?

What are your accommodation recommendations?

Thanks

Reef View hotel may be the most economical for a solo traveller. Almost everything else is apartments and resort accommodation aimed at couples and families. It doesn't mean you can't choose those however.

If you are interested in social outlets that cater to solo travellers, you may want to consider staying at Airlie Beach, as it has much more of a backpacker culture and lots more single/solo travellers . It also has a much wider range of boat trips available to Whitehaven and the reef compared to Hamilton. You can still fly in and out of Hamilton Island and use the ferry service, or maybe spend two days in each location to get some variety.

Hi

Have a look at the Palm Bungalows, they are cute individual bungalows scattered close to the main pool area or just up on the hill. They have a hammock on the verandah and can be as relaxing as you like. They will be a little cheaper than the Reef View Hotel or the Whitsunday Holiday Apartments.

As for singles, a great way to mingle is to head down to the swim up pool bar as there is always people around. Otherwise there are plenty of activities to keep you busy.
