Wednesday nights in Adelaide

Hi, I am travelling to Adelaide next wednesday for work, staying in Glenelg, and just wanted to know if there were many pubs or clubs busy on wednesdays?

@ Harryhobo,

You should find plenty of people out and about on a Wednesday night. A few options in Glenelg, or if you take a cab or the tram to the City, plenty there as well. In the city, head for Rundle Street (known as the East End - more pubs) or Hindley Street (the West End - more clubs).

The Stamford Grand and the Oaks Pier. are popular watering holes in Glenelg.

There's plenty of pubs open on Wednesday nights but not so much clubs.

In Glenelg we have the Dublin, Pier On One and The Grand all within walking distance of each other. I highly recommend the Dublin or the Grand (they're pretty much opposite of each other) as they also have either a band or DJ playing on some nights.

In the city, there's plenty of pubs, clubs and bars on Rundle Street, Gouger Street and Hindley Street. The casino would be the better option for a drink on a Wednesday night.

For clubbing on a Wednesday, I would recommend you checkout HQ Nightclub located on West Terrace. It gets very busy and there's always a line-up from 10pm onwards - even for a Wednesday night. There are four rooms open: the main room plays 70's/80's90's music (it's a Flashdance night), the 2nd room plays, r&b/hiphop, the outdoor area plays house/electro/trance and the roof garden is just a chillout area. Costs about $10 before 11pm and $20 after. More info here:

Also there's Sugar Nightclub located on Rundle Street which is a bit more intimate but doesn't get so busy.
