4 bedroom self contained in and around Hobart

Hi,

I am searching for a 4 bedroom place for 3 couples,a 4 year old and an 18 month old. I would like it in or around Hobart and not too expensive... say $1500 for a week? We are looking for March 2013. Any ideas?

Hi soobee3,

Might be worth trying looking at sites like Stayz.

Thanks Robert,

I have been looking at that site but they all become quite expensive once I put in the details eg 6 adults. It bumps the cost into the $3000's. Any other ideas?

Maybe try 2 x 2 bedroom apartments.

Or have a look at some caravan parks.

To be honest soobee, if you can find quality accommodation for 3 couples and a couple of kids for a week for $1500 you've done very well. Even getting 3 x questionable motel rooms for $90 to $100 pn will still cost you around the $2000 mark. On wotif there is a motel around the Sandy bay area that is advertising $74 per night per couple for a minimum 5 night stay, have no idea the quality, for 3 rooms it's just over $1500.

As morticia states, look at some out of town caravan parks.

Below is a link to the $74 pn motel, at least it's a Best Western.

I agree with MorticiaMelbourne.......two 2 bedroom apartments would be a good option. St Ives may suit you:

By the time you add extra persons most of the recommendations will still cost the OP over $2000 for the week, porge I agree the best option is for soobee3 booking 2 x 2 at the stives in March 2013 but it will cost around $3000.

soobee3 you might just have to add another $200 to $300 per couple to ensure you get decent self contained accommodation, and the choice will still be limited.
