accommodation Cradle mountain, Tarkine Wilderness and Wine G

G'day fellow travellers,

Can anyone reccommend accommodation in Cradle Mountain, Tarkine Wilderness and Wine Glass Bay? (From $120-$250 per night)

Also, what seafood delicacies/places can you reccommend around Hobart?

Cheers :)

Hi Elizabeth, like most places, recommendation prices are determined by when you are travelling, so when are you travelling?

For Tasmania's wonderful fresh foods, like seafood, have a read of the link below, many helpful ideas can be obtained at the "Top questions" top right of your screen.

Safe travels - Robert

Cradle Mountain is an expensive place. A cabin at Discovery Holiday Park is the cheapest you'll find, but Cradle Wilderness Village and Highlanders Cabins are also worth a look on Wotif.com

Stanley is the closest town to the Tarkine and you shouldn't have any problem finding a good B&B within your budget: tripadvisor.com.au/Hotels-g504330-Stanley_Ta…

Have a look at the TripAdvisor listings for Bicheno and Swansea for accommodation near Wineglass Bay: tripadvisor.com.au/Hotels-g261650-Bicheno_Ta…

For all these pages, don't forget to click on the "B&B" and "Other accommodation" tabs.

There are plenty of seafood places on the docks at Hobart, albeit a little expensive at times. Barilla Bay to the east of Hobart on the way to/from Wineglass Bay is worth a stop, as is Freycinet Marine Farm on the road in from the Highway to Freycinet National Park (Wineglass Bay). There are many threads on the Hobart forum about seafood restaurants.
