hobart overnight

Is Wrest point too far from tourist attractions. In Hobart from 10.30 Saturday and leaving at check next day to head off towards Port Arthur on the start of 3 night self driving tour. Any suggestion on Hobart accommodation?

Great spots on a Saturday for ease of access to the markets, wharf and CBD are Lenna of Hobart, or Salamanca Wharf Hotel, well we use these two.

There are many more in the vicinity of the two mentioned above, and a little further out depending on your budget, reasonable priced ones in the city like Hotel Collins or Fountainside, another one we like is Hotel Grand Chancellor.

IMO, look at anything on Sullivans Cove.

Plenty of more convenient choices, especially if only there for one night. What's your priority, price, facilities, views? Rob mentioned the Grand Chancellor, the views from their harbourside rooms are great!

I agree. There are better choices much closer to th touristy area of the city than the Casino.
