Trams in the Melbourne CBD - are they free to travel on???

Hi

Does Melbourne offer free tram travel around the CBD?

If not what would it cost me to catch a tram from Flinders Street to the Queen Victoria Market? Can I pay by cash on the tram or do I have to purchase a ticket from somewhere?

Thanks

Pam

Get off at Melbourne Central and walk lol. Or walk from Flinders ST - the Vic Market isn't that far away and it's a great chance to see Melbourne's streets and alleyways.

From Flinders St you can walk through block arcade

and many other beautiful structures!

The city circle tram goes on a prescribed route
