Accommodation Centre of Melbourne

My sister & I are taking my mum who is 80 to Melbourne in February for the weekend and would like somewhere central to stay in Melbourne, close the circle tram line as well so we can cut down on the walking, any recommendations. Thank you

It may help if you give us your budget. The city circle tram goes passed or near many hotels and prices can vary greatly.

I'm not sure what price gets you a nice hotel in Melbourne but I would expect something like $200.00 a night give or take.

Try the Citigate hotel in Flinders St. It is located opposite Flinders St station, 100 meters from Federation Square, and the free city circle tram passses the door.

We stayed at the Batman's Hill Hotel (choicehotels.com.au/en/quality-hotel-au408) just opposite Southern Cross Station and it was very handy for everything.

Punthill apartments have three locations right in the city and are reasonably priced. They have 1 and 2 bedroom apartments.

For your mum's comfort she may prefer to be in a self catering apartment with her own room?

Or the Mercure Welcome Hotel, tram outside the door, hop & skip to Myer and DJ.
