How long to stay in a hostel

I'm coming to Melbourne in December. I'll be looking for a flat share when I arrive. I already know a few sites for this.

My question is how long do you think i should book into a hostel for while I get things sorted?

2 or 3 weeks??

Hey There!

We would recommend booking for 3 weeks as Melbourne is pretty busy in December with many travellers looking for places to live and many hostels will be quite full - so it may be more difficult to extend your stay if you need to. Plus it's always good to add a little extra room in there to ease into the excitement of a new city and so you don't feel as rushed when looking for a good houseshare.

Hope this helps!

If the hostel will let you leave earlier and not charge you for the full time then I would take a three week option just to be safe
