Apartment/flat in Paris

Hello, had anyone out there rented an apartment or flat in Paris ? Has to sleep four and be handy to metro station. Oh, and would prefer something that doesn't bankrupt me. Would love to hear your recommendations. Thankyou. Jenny.

You should ideally be asking this on the Paris forum.

We use AirBandB and have also used Way to Stay ... can't recommend anything for 4 though as we are just 2. Companies are reliable.

I mentioned it previously on the duplicate of this thread, but don't be too quick in dismissing the idea of reposting this on the Paris forum.

The reason is, that by only seeking advise from Australians, you're limiting your resources to only that of a tiny sample size, and even then the information may not be current.

In addition, locals can provide peripheral information such as planned roadworks, renovation next door, construction across the street, recent incidents in the proximity or neighbourhood.

Aren't they making it illegal to rent out apartments in Paris for less than a year...ie like in NYC...worth investigating if the OP is still wondering about this option.

I found these people great with fantastic locations on the Ile St Louis in particular - several years ago the cost stacked up well against 3 star hotels in the same area.
