Just got back from a few days in WA. Would liked to have spent more time there, but work is work!
I stayed at the Travelodge in Perth and Quay West Resort Bunker Bay. Will post reviews shortly, but they will both be 5 stars. Couldn't fault them at all.
*Kings Park, Perth - could wander here for hours.
*Perth Mint - gold pouring a total highlight.
*WA Museum - entry by donation! fabulous aboriginal exhibit and dinosaur and meteorite collections.
*Brown Hill Winery - just a shed in the middle of nowhere, but fabulous wines and info.
*Eagle Heritage Wildlife Center - get there for the demonstrations. Awesome!
*Sails Cafe, Margaret River - best burger I've tasted in AGES.
*Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk - took a lot of getting to, but is absolutely spectacular.
*Freemantle - from what I can remember, it was nice. :p
*Friends Restaurant, Perth - horrible main course, lovely everything else.
*Mammoth Cave - absolutely beautiful, but $20 to get in to a natural feature??
*Gloucester Tree - charged $10 to see a tree. Didn't fancy killing myself climbing it.
*Margaret River Chocolate Factory - no samples and no friendly staff, very disappointed.
I think that's it! It's a shame we weren't able to stay longer, but the world's a big place and there's many places left to go. :)
