I'm from Penang and going to Perth in mid September ...Do i need a jacket for 20 C ?
yeah, its better to bring a thin jacket.
thank you so much...
If you're planning to spend lots of time outside - for example, walking along the beach/river or exploring King's Park, you might need a windcheater underneath your jacket and a rain proof jacket too. It doesn't need to be a padded snow jacket of course - we don't get snow in Perth, but the wind can make it pretty cold on some overcast rainy days. (Bring the one in your photo!)
In September it is officially winter here, and we do get rainy weather when cold fronts move across WA from the Indian Ocean - and then the next day can be sunny and quite warm!Edited: 28 May 2014, 09:05
We were there at that time of year 5 years ago and it was a bit cold. I had to buy sweaters. We also had a lot of rain.
Um, I think you'll find that September is officially _Spring_, not winter. But still fairly cool and prone to the odd shower.
thank you so much for the answers given...helps me alot....have a nice day to all !!!
Absolutely take a jacket. I find it cold even in December in the evenings/mornings.
