when i first booked my trip to nz,the first thing i looked was the flight, this was many months ago,so i went with singapore, from heathrow, for the price of £874 which was very good,so i booked it,now for exactly the same flights the price is £1336,so i e-mailed singapore, and to my relief i was told i would only have to pay the price when i booked ,and not todays price.

but my question is what about campervans,i booked this at about the same time, and the price was a lot lower then, than it is now,i only paid a deposit of 200nzd,anyone know what price i will have to pay, when i booked or todays price?.i have had no reply to my e-mail to them,if i have to pay todays price i will go for the car option as opposed to the campervan

1. Re: prices

You have a binding contract, since you gave "consideration" (the deposit), so they have to honour it at the price you agreed. Unless, of course, there are clauses in the contract which enable them to bump the price.

This is something only you and the rental company can work out. I suspect that the delay in replying to your emails may mean they are trying to work out some way of making you pay the higher price.

Most NZ companies are ethical, and I hope this is the case with your rental van company, but unfortunately there are the occasional rat bags who don't play by the rules.
