How to get to Queenstown from Christchurch ?

Thanks for your suggestions/advice.

I checkup Queenstown from internet and found that it is about 7 hours drive and looks far.

Questions :

1) How do I get fr Christchurch to Queenstown if I don't drive?

2) I believe there are bus/coaches which I can book but I can't seems to find their website after trying for quite awhile, Please help.

3) I need to find out does the bus/coaches has destinated stops along the way for rests and pictures?

Queenstown is more southwards, what would the weather and temperature be between 7 Jun to 13 Jun.

Hi SeekYourAdvice

You can fly. Air New Zealand & Jetstar fly several times a day.(from $70-$150 NZ). Or catch a bus. We've travelled on Intercity coachlines & found them excellent. If you book the bus on the internet it's a lot cheaper.(around $40NZ). They stop at Lake Tekapo for half hour, plus a couple of 10 minute rest stops. There's also another more expensive option that goes via Mt Cook where you can have a buffet lunch.(around $225NZ) Check their website.

The weather will be cold & more than likely you will get snow. Check the Queenstown webcam. Press "play" & you'll get the last few hours of pictures.

Enjoy your trip!
