Our North Island itinerary has us travelling through the Coromandel Peninsula. On one of the maps that we have, the road between Coromandel and Kuaotunu appears to have unsealed sections. Is the case?

No this road is now sealed but if you were to take the 309 Road which crosses the range further south you would be on an unsealed road for quite a way.

Yes as has been said, the road from Coromandel Town to Kuaotunu is completely sealed and is a very good road. Just make sure you follow the main roads and you will be fine. I hope you enjoy that beautiful part of the country... we do!!
