What does this term mean? Is there a standard? I find it odd that places will advertise that they have a "kitchenette" and also list that they have a "fridge" and "microwave". I would think a kitchenette would include a sink, fridge (under counter), microwave, and a two-burner element stovetop, as well as cookware. I've come to assume nothing and look at all the details the accommodation will present and pictures. Then I email and ask.
A "full kitchen", to me, would include an oven and possibly a dishwasher.
Is there no standard definition of kitchenette? Just wondering. Also, what is a "hob"? American dictionaries have it as an extension of a fireplace or wood stove (a shelf to keep food warm). In New Zealand, is it a built-in cooktop (2-burner stove element)?
