Travel for October and begin of November

What type of temperatures and seasons would I see in New Zealand for end of October etc?

would it be hot at this time?

I know New Zealand more cooler then OZ but is it more summer time.

What areas would have the hottest temperatures? during October and November?

Hi WT :)

No place will be hot in Oct. Some places might be warm(ish) in Nov. Feb has the hottest, driest conditions and the central South Island has the hottest summer weather in the country, while Nelson has decades of having most sunshine hours for the country. Overnight temps in the North Island will be warmer than down south, but the North will also, potentially, have more rain.

Oct can be lingering winter (possibly spring snow on the South Island mountains), can have spring rain, can have early summer heat - you certainly won't be bored!
