I decided it just doesn't make sense to work 2 days at the expense of 4 extra vacation days so we're taking off 3 full weeks for the first time ever! My business will still be here when I get back- I hope! I took the comments from the first round and added some time in a few places and added Cormandel Peninsula and Mt Cook with my extra days. I also reversed direction because we were hitting Picton/Wellington on Easter weekend and the ferry is already filling up. Unfortunately, reversing put us in Wanaka over Easter when the Warbirds will be there so we're going to bypass it and pick it up at the end.I hate backtracking but it's only 2 more hours.

Given our travel style, do you see any glaring problems? Any suggestions where to use my one unassigned day? Also, what about Mt Cook that last day? Is driving that far and across the Lindis Pass on the day of our flight home risky? Should I sandwich it in between the days at Wanaka? It would be nice to stay in one place for a few days (novel concept). Have I got a good balance?
