Tramping in New Zealand

We're about to head out to New Zealand for our Honeymoon, and are keen walkers so want to make the most of our time out there. We have 3 weeks so are quite limited on time. We're heading out in March/April time.

My main questions is which route(s) are the absolute can't miss ones? We're tentatively considering The Keplar track and the Routeburn at the moment.

Any other general advice or advice on can't miss items in NZ would also be appreciated!

With thanks in advance!

Are you visiting the South Island only or will you be in the North Island as well?

You will need to book the great walk tracks. These include kepler and routeburn, milford, abel tasman, tongariro, stewart island, lake waikaremoana and whanganui (which is actually a canoe trip and highly recommended). See following website for more info

lots and lots of recommended walks. all the national parks have wonderful walks so once you have an iternary ,or as you are making an iternary work around National Parks. in nelson there are three national parks with 90 mins drive - Nelson Lakes, Kahurangi National Park and Abel Tasman. However Queen Charlotte is another stunning multi day hike.
