Auckland-Queenstown one way car rental. 6+ passenger vehicle

Best way to do this? Looks like dropping off in Wellington and picking up a new one in Picton is the best option, but I need a 6+ passenger vehicle and they look like they may be hard to come by. Any recommended companies?

Most of the larger rental car companies will have something like a Toyota Previa. Have you tried Apex? They have the advantage of allowing their vehicles on the ferry.

Apex looks like a good bet. Thank you for your help zhuhai2007!

Apex will definitely be the best bet, as they allow their cars on the ferry you can keep the same vehicle the whole way, and they definitely have Previas (8 seater MPV).

Just bear in mind that whilst these cars are classified as an 8 seater, if you have 8 people in the vehicle there is absolutely no luggage space.
