My wife and I are planning on spending a month -All of Feb and a few days of March 2011 - visiting NZ.
I plan to drive. I lived in the UK for 10 years and we frequently visit so driving on the wrong side of the road is not a challenge. Although it seems that car rental fees are much higher in NZ than most of the rest of the world.
I'm seeking ideas for sight seeing. I want to visit both the north and south Island and I'm more partial to countryside than cities.
My wife (the Mean Red Headed Yankee Nurse) and I are moderate day hikers so some nice 3 - 5 mile hiking trail recommendations would be appreciated.
Are B&Bs the best way to go? That's what we do in the UK but I'm a complete novice on visiting NZ.
Is the beer in NZ as warm as the UK? Just curious......Edited: 30 May 2010, 18:19
