Best hotel to view fireworks

Hi, what would be a good hotel in the city centre to stay and view the fireworks countdown? Thank you in advance for any advice.

The best place to see the fireworks is downtown in Viaduct Harbour or Wynyard Quarter. You can make an evening of it, as there are heaps of restaurants in these vicinities too.

We will be staying at Rydges just across the way from Sky City Tower for the fireworks on New Year's Eve. Should be a good place to stay. Other TA's have commented on that hotel's site that the view was good. Even the pictures they've taken show it. hope that helps.

Heritage Hotel has a roof area that is fantastic for watching the fireworks. You can see the Skytower and out across the harbour.
