Good family restaurant - Auckland central/harbour

Can anyone advise of a good restaurant in Auckland to celebrate my 40th birthday? We have 2 adults and 4 kids aged 6 - 11 yo who all love to eat!

There are quite a number of great restaurants to choose from in the downtown/waterfront area of Auckland city. Some are more family friendly than others.

Some other good options for you would be Marvel Grill at Wynyard Quarter http://www.marvelgrill.co.nz/ or Kermadec at the Viaduct (the bistro, not the fine dining part) http://www.kermadec.co.nz/barandbistro.htm

It really depends on your budget and what kind of food you like though?

Hi there, as you have young kids these might suit you.

Good view over the whole of Auckland and nice place to celebrate: www.skycityauckland.co.nz/restaurants/orbit/

All you can eat - Wildfire is fabulous as previous posts recommend.

Sky City also has a buffet restaurant but I haven't eaten there for a long time so not sure of quality.
