Decent hotel on Queens Street, Auckland

Hi,

Was wondering if there were any decent hotels on Queen St/ Wellesley St/ Lorne St. It should be walking distance to the ASB Bank Limited HQ Branch. (i understand there are 2 ASB on Queen st.?). Budget range USD 100-150 (NZD100-240)

Hope to hear from you guys soon. Thank you very much! :)

$US150 is considerably less than $NZ240, more like $NZ170. With your requirements I would look at the Scenic Hotel (corner Queen and Airedale Street) and the Best Western President (is on Victoria, which is one block down from Wellesley). On Wellesley there is also the Econolodge, but its reviews tend to be a bit more variable. Citylife is fantastic and will sometimes pop within your budget but not always.

Also look at SkyCity hotel which is also close to ASB's main office tower, and is around your price range. Check accommodation specials on www.wotif.com

Hi Kerayzee

Elliot Hotel is in an old heritage building, so I guess in theory it may have a tendency to be a bit noisy as it wasn't originally built as a hotel. Having said that, I think it is a great place, has some character in the rooms and Elliot Stables which is underneath the hotel is a great little boutique food area - but also there are loads of other great eating places nearby.

I know some of the reviews comment on the noise, but I had no problem with it when we were there.

Hi ANDYCHEF,

Noted on that. I'm actually booking it for a business trip for work. The location seems very convenient. Appreciate your prompt feedback. :) Have a great day

Try to contact them by email or phone, as when I was looking at their site today, their online booking engine was showing no availability for any days (which I very much doubt is true)
