Te Mata Peak

Can anyone advise whether it is likely to see snow capped mountains at the Te Mata Peak in February?? :)

Cheers

I'm assuming you mean the Ruahine Ranges, which during winter are covered in snow and can be seen from Te Mata Peak, they are a good 100 plus kms away. There will be no snow to see during summer unless we have a sudden southerly blast and then it'll only be a dusting that won't last long. It would be a very rare day indeed to get snow on Te Mata Peak.
