35 degrees south is a casual bar & restaurant right on the wharf in Paihia that has good food at reasonable prices

Duke of Marlborough in Russell (a quick 5 minute ferry ride from Paihia) is the old original pub in Russell and is a possible option for a pub meal

BYO restaurants a few and far between - there is a small Thai restaurant just a short walk along Marsden Rd from the wharf (with your back to the wharf, turn right and walk for around 50 metres).

Also in the same row of shops is Franks Pizza Bar which is quite good.
