polynesian spa pools rotorua

Planning on going to the Rotorua and visiting the Polynesian Spa Pools.

I read on their website that there are 3 or 4 options

Is it worth going to the Lake Spa (deluxe) or will the Adult Pools & Priest Spa be ok

there is a difference of $21.00 between the Lake Spa and Adult Pools

after all just hot water

The Lake Spa Retreat is the 'sophisticated' version of the Polynesian Pools. If you are having a massage or treatment you would use the retreat but if you just want to soak in the pools, don't bother paying out the extra. There are also small private pools available. The Waikite pools, about 20 minutes drive out of town, are also worthwhile considering.

If it's just a swim you're wanting, try the Private Hot Pools at the Polynesian Spa. Make sure you get a delux one with a view out over the lake(they cost a little extra but are well worth it). And don' worry when you think the 30 min swim time is not enough, you'll be lucky to last that. 20 minutes is my maximum.
