Firstly look at www.rotoruanz.com for ideas.

Agroventures provide plenty of activities and the Agrodome Sheep Show is also enjoyable especially if you do not know much about farm life.

There are several river rafting/kayaking companies in the area.

www.riverjet.co.nz is a fun way to visit Orakei Korako Thermal Valley.

One night at a Maori Cultural Evening is fun. www.mitai.co.nz ;www.maoriculture.co.nz

If you spend time reading about the activities you will be able to make up your own minds about what you prefer to do. You will certainly have no problems filling 3-4 days with plenty of activities. Some walks such as the Redwood Forest, Kuirau Park thermal are and swimming at Kerosene Creek are free activities.
