Lodging in Thames

I will be traveling from The Bay Of Islands south and want to know if anyone can advise me on a hotel or Band B to spend the night in the Thames Area.

I there

Where are you heading the next day...??

These are not in Thames but I often recommend the following 2 places for stop offs south of Auckland, en route to the Coromandel, Bay of Plenty or Rotorua.....

If you are heading up the Coromandel, then you could try this one which is in an amazing location about 15 minutes north of Thames

Hi

We stayed at Dickson Holiday Park where they have a variety of accomodation (motel units, caravan hire and cabins) they also have a swimming pool, kids area and lots of other facilities.

Hillside is en route to Rotorua from Auckland, but if you are wanting to go to the Coromandel on the way, then it is not suitable.

Miranda and Te Puru definitely are though ....

La Casa what a majic place, awesome views and sunsets, built on a historic site dating back to the early Maori occupation.

Middens rest on the slopes around La Casa, untouched and unspolit.

Prolific bird life abounds and their evening and early morning chorus is a joy to hear.

If you need a tranquil place to rest, recoup from stress and illness La Casa would be the perfect place to be.
