1 day for Punakaiki to FJ

Just getting my head around some details for our upcoming trip (leaving UK in 3 days!!!), and was wondering if this was too much to do in one day:

- (Overnight Punakaiki)

- Drive Hokitika in am, explore, have lunch (or pick stuff up for later)

- Go see Hokitika gorge

- Drive to Okarito, look around, do some sort of tour on lagoon?

- Drive to Franz-Josef

- Overnight FJ (glacier tour next day)

It looks ok-ish to me, but what's the expert opinion? Also, anything else we should consider doing along the way (we like nature, scenery, short walks)?

The long daylight hours at this time of the year will add to your trip and you will have no trouble covering this distance in 1 day.

Great, that's good to know! Want this to be a holiday rather than rushing everywhere :-)
