I'm thinking of going south nz next year June.
As me and my friends are still students, we can only afford 3k (INCLUSIVE airfare which is about $800) .
Thinking of doing campervan road trip.
Rental (6 berth, self contained) and fuel will be shared by about 4 person.
since June is winter, the rental will be quite cheap.
We wanna do mostly free camping.
Skipping all paid tour and attractions, mainly focus on sceneries.
I have a few enquires.
1) Is it possible with the budget ($3000) given to do a trip for about 15-18days?
2) Is south island vegetarian friendly, we can self cook? (All of us are vegetarians)
3) Is driving in late may - June dangerous for a 6 berth campervan?Edited: 16 July 2013, 10:38
