New Year in Queenstown

Hi

Just a quick question. Has anyone got any recommendations for hotels/BB's to stay in for New Year.

I've looked at a few hotels about 20 mins from Queenstown, is there where you would recommend staying, or in the centre?

Many thanks

Hello Laura

If you stay in the town centre you can then walk to the evening festivities and have no concerns about parking or drinking/driving. However if later wanting to sleep you may find the town centre quite noisy.

If staying out of town you then could potentially have parking, DUI issues.

I know this hasn't really answered your question, but where to stay is very much down to what you prefer. You should book fairly soon to ensure you get where you want.

Best of luck :)

Queenstown has a great bus service that seems to run all night on new years eve. So if you end up staying out of town, transport should not be a problem.
