Beginners packages. Full day vs half day.

We are a family of four, two kids 11 & 9 and have just arrived in Queenstown. We have never been to the Snow and are overwhelmed by the ski options. I am wanting beginner lessons but can only find full day beginner packages for the adults, was thinking half day to see how we liked it. I felt that a full day was probably too much for the kids, there is a half day option for them but what exactly are they supposed to do for the 2nd half while parents are having a lesson...?

I was thinking Coronet Peak but Cardrona have a 2&3 day beginners package which is good value. Do the others not offer this?

Also considered the Snow Farm, how is this as an option for beginners?

Where can we takes the kids for tubing and sledding fun?

You have obviously become confused. You can have a full day lesson at Coronet but this would be very unusual & very expensive. See info here on group lessons lasting 1hr 50 min, twice daily nzski.com/lessons-and-programmes/adults/adul…

Snowfarm an amazing & different experience. Very good value - Panoramic views. If you can walk you can cross-country ski. Good family fun. There is tubing at Snowfarm & The Remarkbles

The full day packages will give you two lessons, plus hire and any lift passes you need. You can go to either of the mountains and get lesson and hire for a half day. If you like it, you can add on more. As a complete beginner, you only need the magic carpet, not the lifts at first. Snow Farm offers a completely different type of skiing. It's nordic or cross-country skiing. It can be fun, but is quite different to downhill skiing.
