Need some advice on my itinerary

Hi, I'm planning a trip to Brisbane & Gold Coast from 5th March - 10th March this year.

I have not book my accomodation in Brisbane. Will be staying in The Shore Holiday Apartments in Surfers Paradise.

This is the itinerary I have planned :

Day 1 : Self drive to Brisbane from Coolangatta

5 Mar River cruise on CAT

(Thur) City Hall

Museum of Brisbane

Parliament House

City Botanic Gardens

Roma St Parkland

South Bank Parklands

Day 2 : Australia Zoo

6 Mar Night market @ South Bank

(Fri)

Day 3 : Self drive to Gold Coast

7 Mar Carrara Market

(Sat) Q Deck

Day 4 : Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

8 Mar or Beenleigh Historical Village

(Sun) Pacific Shopping Fair

Day 5 : Themepark

9 Mar

(Mon)

Day 1 - it is possible to cover all the sights using the CAT services?

Day 3 - it is worth a visit to Carrara Market if I have visited the night market in Brisbane?

Day 4 - Since I will be going to Australia Zoo, it is still worth it to visit Currumbin? Will I find the same thing in both these places? Is it better to visit Beenleigh Historical Village instead? How far is it from Surfers Paradise?

Day 5 - If I only have budget for 1 themepark, which one is a must go? I am a big fan of rides, so it would help if the themepark has attractions other than rides. Do we need whole day in the themepark?

Thanks in advance for your replies

If you plan on going to Aust.Zoo plan to be there from opening to close you wont get to markets that night, big day lots of walking.Well worth it.Basically same things at currubin,so i wouldn't bother.Carrara is interesting but for you prob.nothing new I would suggest the local markets at Broadbeach on the Sunday locally made items lovely beachfront locality.I would def. go to Dreamworld and you would need all day.Do you have children with you?Hope this helps. Please ask any other questions. You can walk to all Bris dest. Southbank is on other side of river lots of diff.boat crossings or walk.

Day 1 may be a bit busy unless you are leaving early - allow 8 hrs to visit those places, if you like old buildings have a look at Customs House and the Casino...Not in the city area, Newstead House and Breakfast Creek hotel are also worth a look.

Day 2 - looks good

Day 3 - Carrara is a bit ho hum, what aboout Harbour Town factory outlet shopping centre?

Day 4 - Currumbin is good but I wouldn't bother if you have already been to Aus Zoo.onsider a day trip to the gold coast hinterland areas for beautiful rainforest, waterfalls etc

Day 5 - Dreamworld for your rides, there is austrlain wildlife there as well..

Have fun!

Carrara Markets is fine. You should find most of the things you want there.

Click on the link below for more ideas about markets.

hi all..

i also wanna ask for advice.. me+family+frens will be going to gold coast as well on 18march until 24march. already got itinerary for our vacation but a bit confuse about 1 thing..

my fren suggest to go Sydney.. so we still confuse whether go by air or just drive..

option 1: Jetstar / VirginBlue

take the 1st flight and return on the last flight. same day..

option 2: Drive

we will rent a car, drive to sydney.. depart early morning.. and drive back to gold coast late nite.. same day also...

majority of my frens prefer just using flight because its save our time & energy. But its cost us more than Drive for sure.

And 1 of my frens really2 want to drive because of adventure etc...

so guys, which one is better.. really need ur advice.. thanks in advance...
