Hi,
I'm staying at the Sheraton Mirage Resort in March and am looking for some nearby dining suggestions (outside of the resort).
Someone has mentioned going to Teddy Ave. Is that a safe walk at night or is it better to use a taxi?
Cheers

Hi Barry,
It is about a 1k walk from the Sheraton Mirage to Tedder Ave. Certainly doable of you don't mind the walk and Main Beach is a very safe area.
Tedder Ave has a good reputation for fine dining and generally has the price tag to match.

There are also some very good restaurants in the large shopping centre (Marina Mirage) opposite the Sheraton & also in the Palazzo Versace.
You will be spoilt for choice.

We often walk to Tedder Ave from SM when we stay there - its approx 15- 20min walk along the boardwalk and then one block up. as B/Bum mentioned its easier to just catch a taxi from the Sheraton Mirage.
Our favourite Restaurant there is called Beluga Bar Seafood Restaurant the owner is lovely and he used to own Michaels Riverside in Brisbane.
In the Mirage centre www.fellini.com.au is a fabulous Italian fine dining restaurant.
Oh, I have to second EM's suggestion of Beluga on Tedder Ave. It's sensational! But there are quite a few other good ones on that street to choose from.
Awesome, thank you all for the great tips and website links.
Baz
And probably the best seafood resaurant on the Gold Coast Omeros Brothers is across the road in the Marina Mirage.
