Fisherman's Village

Update to keep everybody informed, Fisherman'S Village is about to re-open. All bars and restaurants are currently hurrying up to finish they're installations for the end of the month.

Some old timers are gonna be back, such as La Salsa, La Terasse, Cayuco, PIzza Playa, and a bunch of new ones, such as One Love Surfshack, and Replay

Building are brand new, there will be decks right on the beach, and it will once again be the heart of LT

Hopefully, tourists will be back and check it out!

We will be staying at GPCL in early December. Was wondering how far it is to Las Terrenas and ways to get there. Also wondering if tours with Terry can be booked from the hotel. From past experiences most excursions from hotels are with operators of their choice. Or maybe dependant on the tour operator you flew in with.

We were discouraged by our rep from Thomson to do anything other than through them at higher price and larger number of people per excursion than Terry. First time we logged onto his site from the hotel computers and then next visit we planned everything we wanted to do with him from home and just touched base again using the hotels free computers. The hotel staff were more help than the tour operator staff in all cases

The Fishermans village is in Las Terranas on the North Coast of Samana - we went there as part of a trip which included El Limon and had a meal at the end of the trip. Las Terranas is a lovely part of Samana and although some people feel that it is 'touristy' we liked it and the bars restaurants and people are just great it had/has a very nice atmosphere.
