Palm Cove is a top spot, glad you enjoyed. Can't imagine anywhere there have views so to speak, unless filtered though the trees. Though it is that buried in the trees vibe I like about Palm Cove. Adore the giant old trees.

we stayed on the third floor right hand corner appartment.the views through the trees were ok.top floor possibly better if not for the views it would be for the peace of mind of knowing you will not have any kids running around upstairs at seven in the morning.we had kids up stairs running around but it wasnt to bad compared to the drift apartments where it sounded like elephants continualy draging chairs across the floor.(our roof).hope this helps yell out if you want any more info on island views.

Thanks Micklaw. I hope to get a top floor apartment.

What are the main positives about Island Views and are there any negatives. Are the views as good as shown one their website

Anything else about Palm Cove would also help. Places to eat ,see for eg that you would recommend

positives are a massive outdoor balcony with bbq were you just kick back with a beer and watch the scenery go bye, very large inside areas, spa in between main bedroom and bathroom, fantastic kitchen with every thing you need.the views are the best that you will get in palm cove as they are not allowed to build higher than the palm trees witch also means that being on the top floor you will be looking through tops of palm trees so the views arnt uninterupted.lower floors allow views under palm canopys, eg 2nd floor.where to eat depends on budget but we normally splash out a bit on holidays and go to the reef house a couple of times(check menu on line)there is an italian place southern end of esplanade that is pretty good.there isnt a lot to see in palm cove except great beach but it is a good base if you have a hire car.hope you have a great time.

Great help. I am hiring a car . Looking forward to a nice cold stubbie looking out onto the sea from the balcony. Most likely venture to the Tavern to place a few bets as well

you wear thongs and shorts, it dosnt matter where you go they are acceptable.i never take any shoes or jeans when i go up there.even the casino allow shorts and thongs but no singlets.most places i eat i wear a singlet(except the reef house nice shirt and shorts).ps get the tavern to put some victorian beer on ice.

thongs and shirt it is then . I normally go to Noosa and stay at The Lookout Resort. I like it there as you can be as casual as you like. I am actually going there for a week before I go to Palm Cove
