Which one should we stay in? - help me choose

Hey,

Narrowed down a short list of accomodation and looking for some input (read the comments on each to death but want some fresh opinions). I have included approx prices so comments on what seems a better deal, what is worth the extra coin and what isn't.

* Coral Sea resort sea view spa room - $1150 inc buffet breaky, spa over looking water

* Peppers coral coast resort - $900 inc hot breaky, in room spa

* Pinnacles resort and spa - $900 spa or $1300 jacuzzi. no breaky

* at Waterfront whitsunday - $1000 no breaky, spa on balcony

* Martinique Whitsunday - $750 no breaky or spa. great pool.

* Summit Apartments - $640 no breaky, no spa.

Appreciate the input. Still waiting on best offers from the hotels but above is a good guide. Happy to spend at the top end if worth it!

Adam.

Updated with new prices I have received. any thoughts?

* Coral Sea resort sea view, balcony spa room - $1050 (+$100 buffet breaky)

* Peppers coral coast resort - $900 inc hot breaky, in room spa

* Pinnacles resort and spa - $960 spa or $1300 balcony jacuzzi. no breaky

* at Waterfront whitsunday - $750 no breaky, spa on balcony

* Martinique Whitsunday - $750 no breaky or spa. great pool.

* Summit Apartments - $600 no breaky, no spa. cheap.

also adding to the list:

* Peninsula Airlie beach - $960 1 bedroom or $1140 split-level Penthouse

Coral sea keeps drawing me until I remind myself about the price. The Waterfront looks to be good value. Anyone stayed at these resorts and want to comment?

Cheers,

Adam.

Hi Adam ,we are just back from having 5 nights at the pinnacles.

Best views and it wasn't too busy. Yes you do your own cooking but the supermarket is 5 mins away.

The waterfront is new but doesn't have the best of views.

Any questions ? I would be happy to help

Ali

Thanks Alastair,

Loved the look of Pinnacles, ended up going with Martinique Whitsunday as the rate they offered us was too good to pass up. We figured that we would not spend much time in the resort anyway as we only have 3 full days as we arrive late on the Friday and leave first thing on the Tuesday. At least 2 of the days will be filled up with tours and the money we saved could go to a 3 tour or upgrading one of our others to include helicopter trip or something else cool.

Cheers,

Adam.

Happy holidays,
