Where best to stay

Hi

We are couple in our late 30's wanting to spend about 4-5 days in Mooloolaba, before heading further north for a few days in early May.

Could anyone recommend somewhere to stay? Ideally not a high rise block full of kids :) , but somewhere reasonably handy to town (we don't mind a walk), with a nice outlook/balcony or outdoor area and a pool.

We will have a car with us so parking is essential.

many thanks

Have a look at The Mirage at Alexandra Headland, it is about 20 minutes walk to Mooloolaba. It is lovely and quiet, overlooking a lake, one street back from the beach. The higher floors have ocean views. It does cater to families, but never seems to be overrun by kids. There is car accommodation, three pools, a tenis court, basketball court and a lovely big b-b-q area. It is a resort with quite large grounds, which is rare at the coast.

It is in the Mooloolaba precinct so every chance of noise from hoons which is the curse of most places in Zooloolaba.

Pandanus is in the same area for bigger units.

We stayed in a lovely quite beachfront apartment at Alexandra Headland. it is listed on the web at www.takeabreak.com

Has pool, secure parking, handy to shops and surf club and the most beautiful 10 minute walk to mooloolaba. Very nice private apartment with parking and wonderful daily ocean views.
