Anderton's Creek

Can anyone locate Andertons Creek for me, or suggest a similar name for a location in Prahran? An address which looks like this appears on the 1880 marriage certificate of one of my ancestors, but I can't positively decipher it.

Sorry can't help that much. Prahran is an inner suburb about 5 kms SE from the CBD of Melbourne. It is in the local government area of The City of Stonnington who may be able to give you some advice.

There is a tink creek called AnderSons Creek about 20 kms NE from the CBD in what is now a suburban area called Doncaster East. Back then this would have been complete bush (may have been some gold mining activity near by) and the only reason I know about it is that (what is now a main road) that goes out that way is called AnderSons Creek Road.

I can't see any real connection between the two but hope it helps in some way.
