What to do in rainy days in/near Noosa?

We are heading to Noosa tomorrow for 5 days. Looking at the weather forecast there will be quite a lot of rain and thunderstorm unfortunately. Does anyone have any suggestions of some options in/near Noosa (we have a rental car with us) that will suit a family with a 4yo boy? Thanks.

Hi there,

We have had rain predicted for ages and nothing has eventuated so far. Usually the Sunshine Coast clears really quickly after some rain, so I wouldn't worry just yet.

Things to do if it's wet:

1) Underwater World in Mooloolaba - fun for kids and adults and inside.

2) Farmers Market at the Big Pineapple on Saturday 6am-1pm, market inside, kids train covered and animal farm and you can go inside the Big Pineapple.

3)Ginger Factory at Yandina - mostly covered, kids train and other activities, wothwhile driving there.

Enjoy, I don't think it will be that bad. Thunderstorms predicted all day today and we haven't had a drop.

Most of the rain is storms that appear in the late afternoon, shouldn't really be a problem. While you are here sign up for the "Early Morning Warning" for storms, you get a text if severe storms are on the way ... http://ewn.com.au/

Thanks. You guys are right, most of the rains/storms only came in late afternoon so there were enough decent weather for us to enjoy Noosa. We did get caught in a nasty hailstorm when driving near Gympie one afternoon, thankfully the rental car wasn't damaged.
