Hotel Recommendation - Help!

We are coming to Rincon in December.

We were going to stay at either - Villa Confresi or Lazy Parrott (any preference?)

Also, if we had to choose between Rincon and Vieques, which do you recommend?

The two hotels are nice with differant reasons , Lazy Parott is in located on Rt.413 on the hills of Rincon with great views of the beach and a nice pool bar-The Rum Shack. Villa Cofresi is on Rt. 115 at the beach with a lively beach bar. Cofressi is a very local place, for good times at the beach, with a great beach bar. The Lazy Parott is a good place to hang by the pool bar and talk/meet with North Americans, then drive to the beach. Have a look at their revives here on T A:

Both hotels are good. The beach in front of Villa Cofresi is not the greatest, so you are comparing apples to apples. You will need a car anyway so read TA reviews.

In regards to comparing Vieques and Rincon, I will choose Rincon because there are a few day trips that you could do. Vieques is great for beach and relax, Rincon is great for beach, relax, and more :) so it will depend on what you want from your vacation.

They are opposit sides, one is sunrise the other is sunset :) Vieques is a flight away from San Juan, Rincon is. 2 hr drive.

I suggest to read older posts regarding both locations.

I've been at Villa Confresi a few times. Love the Bar and Restaurant, great Food. If you want more quiet, ask for a room away from the Bar.

That is a hard choice to make. I have stayed at both hotels. The food at the Lazy Parrot is fabulous! As Pineappleinn above said, they are 2 very different experiences. The Lazy Parrot is not right on the beach, but give some great views of Rincon. They have a lovely pool and great food. Villa Cofresi is on the beach- they also have good food and there are some excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Re: Vieques vs Rincon- it really depends on the type of vacation you want. Have done both. Rincon is a great place if you want to do some day trips and explore the main island. Vieques is better for exploring the beautiful beaches and sunbathing/bodysurfing. We rented a house there for 8 days last year and it was a very relaxing vacation. Vieques has some very beautiful beaches.
