Day Trips from Rincon

We are planning to stay in Rincon in January and are hoping to explore the area on the West Coast. How long does it take to drive to Boqueron and/or Cabo Rojo? Also would the Rincon beaches be very crowded at that time of year?

Boqueron is a small town in Cabo Rojo, best known for its most popular beach: the Boqueron Beach. It's about a 30 minutes drive from Rincón with normal traffic. If you do go to Cabo Rojo, do stop in Joyuda for some seafood, which is considered the best on the island. El Bohio restaurant has a terrace right over the ocean water. It's a really beautiful place to have dinner, specially at sunset.

Except for the Isla Verde beach, which is also not really crowded, beaches in PR aren't crowded in January.
