Things to do in Rincon

What are your favorite things to do in Rincon?

Also, can anyone recommend a spa that offers massages on the beach?

We like to rent jet ski's, are they on the shore, as in Mexico, or do you need to rent these in advance?

Are there any special events in Rincon for Christmas?

Your help would be much appreciated!

although i have never been to RINCON for x-mas (we always go in September) i believe there will be events going on during that time. there are several places that do massages, at HOTEL VILLA COFRESI you will find jet ski rentals from shore.

we spend most of our time , searching for sea glass @ POOL'S BEACH,diving and snorkeling along with some horse-back riding. we do all these activities in RINCON AND THE NEARBY TOWN OF ISABELA. i highly recommend the trail ride in ISABELA @ TROPICAL TRAIL RIDES.

i highly recommend visiting the following websites as they are full of info on up-coming events, massages, restaurants, ect., and they are easy to use.

www.coquirincon.com (local monthly newspaper)

www.rincon-hangout.com (surfing and water conditions site)

also keep in mind RINCON is a very popular x-mas vacation destination so if you find lodging you like , book it quick as availability will fill up quickly. you may e-mail me directly for more detailed answers to your questions if you'd like, we have been vacationing in RINCON for going on 10 years now. (this September)

happy planning,

Doda has covered well some of our favorite recommendations. Be sure to take her advise, early bookings are absolutely necessary.

Some of our local favorites are Taino Divers for their daily trip to Desecheo Island for snorkling, diving or even a discovery dive if you are not certified, they serve lunch, Katarina Sails, a catamaran does a daily trip for snorkeling along the coastal reefs, and serves lunch, as well as a daily sunset sail with cocktails, they can also be privately chartered with catering. Some of the best snorkeling is at Tres Palmas, aa reserve, as long as there is not a swell while you are visiting. WInter is surf season, Rincon Surf & Board does group and private lessons, and most of the surf shops offer private lessons with local surfers. Most of the hotels, and guest houses have in house, in room spa services, like massage and facials, salt scrubs, providedd by independent estheticians, we like Farada, Annette B., and Annete W. be sure to ask your host to provide you with their availability. Pinto's r Us are doing a great job woith horse abck riding on the beach they are under new management, Tropical Trail Rides always do a great job, and a trip to Isabela can be a fun day. There are other good day trips your hosts should be able to recommend. Keep in mind that RIncon is a small beach town, we are not known for luxury, or all inclusive type accomodations,If you are staying at on eof the bigger hotels be sure to get out and visit the other places especially to eat, what you will find are fun Beach Bars, Calypso, Pool's Bar, Casa Verde, TAmboo,Villa Confressi, restaurants we like are The Spot (Black Eagle, Lazy Parrot(Smiling Joes) Shipwreck, , Casa Islena, CLub Bonnaccord, Aaron's (Horned Dorset), Harbor, and some of the local kiosk's serving great Empanadilla's like Patio Familia. Pleae contact your hosts to be sure they help you book anything you may want to do early so you won't be dissappointed. Enjoy RIncon!
