Verdanza or Embassay Suites?

Going to PR for the weekend (3 women)...which place would be better for us? We are in our mid 30's and are interested in the beach, cocktails and shops/restaurants within walking distance. Thanks for your help!

The Verdanza is right in front of Embassy. Beach is within 4 min. walking. The Verdanza has several Restaurants, also a Cafe ( best Coffee) and a Wine & Tapas Bar. The Embassy has a Casino( very small) and one or 2 Restaurants. I guess it depends on where you can get a better deal. Both Hotels are nice.

The Verdanza is a bit closer to the beach and main strip. It also has good in house restaurants and bar.

Closer meaning about 30 steps closer to the beach. ;)

Both hotels are good. They're located in a cul-de-sac kind of area, almost right next to, or in front of each other.

ES hosts a Manager's cocktail hour for the guests. The beach is just 2 blocks from both hotels. Restaurants, stores, and other hotels are just a block away.

Go to El San Juan hotel (just a block away, on the right) at night. It has the best evening entertainment, and the hottest club in town.

My husband and I stayed at the ES in February. We enjoyed it. There's a nice pool. The beach is a short walk as the others have said. The hotel does have a section with a guy who will give you towels, an umbrella and chairs. The restaurant there is TGIFridays. It was good, but a chain. There's another restaurant there that we didn't try as the menu didn't seem appealing to us. Breakfast is included and is awesome. They do made to order omelets and there's lots of other stuff available-yogurt, cereal, toast, pastries, etc. There's also a 2 hour happy hour every night with free booze and snacks. Definitely take a walk to Metropol for dinner. It's delicious.
