And it runs about once an hour from the Central Bus Station except on Sundays when it's once every two hours. There are stops in Clarendon Road close to the town centre and at Watford Junction. Where are you trying to get to?

Thanks for replies. Yes trying to get to Watford Junction so that should be fine. Heading home on Sunday though so from what you say it seems there would be very few buses going from Watford to Heathrow on a Sunday morning...my flight is at 1.30pm

There are a number of other bus strategies, involving changes en route, but taking less time than going into London

www.transportdirect.info - playing with alternative "Heathrow" destinations. The strategy for getting to/from T5 may be different from T1

Thanks for replies. I think we may get the bus on Friday pm from Heathrow to Watford. We don't mind it being a bit slow. Is there a particular number for the direct bus for Watford and can we buy tickets on board? I think we may see about a taxi from Watford back to Heathrow on Sunday? Would you know the approx cost of a taxi? There are 4 of us going and I assume the traffic will be lighter on a Sunday?

Oops sorry didn't notice the link....thanks for that. Can I ask about the shuttle bus from Watford Junction to the Studios? Do you know how often it goes and do you buy your ticket on the bus?

The shuttle bus runs three times an hour and the return fare is £2 per person.

A taxi booked with Lucketts costs £35 to T4 and £32 to the other terminals so it will work out cheaper than 4 tickets on the 724 coach at £8.50 each. Other local taxi firms will charge about the same.
